This playbook is developed to share information on events, meetings, trainings, and media events that were done in preparation for the 2022 NCAA Final Four Men’s Basketball games to give key stakeholders a blueprint to raise awareness and prevent human trafficking during large-scale sporting events. The playbook includes specific strategies and a step-by-step guide to increasing victim identification and promoting healing and recovery for survivors.

A badge buddy is often called a hang tag. These customized tags, commonly used by health care providers, are attached to an ID badge holder and worn underneath an existing ID badge.

A badge buddy is a quick and easy way to identify a potential trafficked victim or victims.

Badges can be distributed to health systems and medical providers near the venue for the sporting event.

NCPHST badge buddies provide a list of potential indicators of a suspected trafficked victim on one side and information on reporting protocols and numbers to call to help a suspected victim on the other side.
