Maria Lee is the wife of Tennessee Governor Bill Lee.

As first lady, Maria wants to inspire Tennesseans to live lives devoted to service with her initiative, Tennessee Serves. Maria’s work is focused on serving the Volunteer State’s federally designated distressed counties while also highlighting the incredible work of nonprofits and service organizations in the state.

Maria personally participates in service projects tailored to a wide variety of needs in communities across the state, including serving survivors of human trafficking and raising awareness of trafficking in Tennessee.

By devoting her time to service and encouraging others to serve, Maria hopes that Tennessee Serves will continue to act as a mobilization mechanism to increase volunteerism across Tennessee.

It is Maria’s desire that Tennessee Serves will make long-lasting impacts in the lives of Tennesseans and in communities across the state.
